Melinda brings a lifetime of experience to our office. A Statesville native, she grew up working on her family’s farm before pursuing advanced degrees in Agriculture, Biology, and Plant Ecophysiology. With her background as a certified organic specialist and her experience managing large-scale commercial greenhouses and residential landscaping, Melinda is uniquely equipped to support our community’s diverse growing needs through workshops, consultations, field visits, and community outreach, the horticulture program supports healthier plants, stronger farms, and more vibrant landscapes across Iredell County.
