Allison’s Woods Outdoor Learning “Aqua Sprouts” 4-H Club

Meets: Second Thursday of the month, 6 P.M.

The Aqua-Sprouts 4-H Club focuses on sustainable gardening techniques such as hydroponics, aquaponics, and raised bed gardening as a way to produce fresh fruits and vegetables. All food produced by the club is donated to local food banks. The 4-H club meets at Allison Woods Outdoor Learning Center the second Thursday of each month from 6-7 p.m. During the winter months the club meets at the Iredell County Extension Center. The club is free to attend with no annual fees.

West Iredell 4-H Club

Leader: Elizabeth Bustle Moseley

Meets: 2nd Tuesday of the month, 6 P.M.

The West Iredell 4-H Club is a multi-faceted 4-H Club. Club members participate in a variety of activities ranging from science, agriculture, horticulture, fine arts, sewing, public speaking, recreation, and conservation . . . just to name a few areas. The club is open to youth, ages 5-18 (as of January 1st of the current year). The work of the club is to help youth members develop community service involvement, social skills,  leadership skills, public speaking skills, and explore a large variety of project areas. Membership in the club is free, and families help with one major fundraiser per year. The club leader is Elizabeth Moseley (life-long Statesville resident, and active in Iredell County 4-H for 35 years).
