Iredell County 4-H Clubs and Groups

Being a member of a 4-H club gives children year-round involvement, and without question, provides them with the most well rounded 4-H experience. As a club member, children develop leadership skills, public speaking skills, and social skills as they participate in monthly club meetings, community service projects, citizenship activities, and club outings. 4-H Clubs are organized in communities throughout Iredell County. Clubs are led by parent and community volunteers who have been screened and trained by Extension personnel. There are even clubs in some of the afterschool PrimeTime sites throughout Iredell County. Since 4-H is a family program, parents and guardians are actively involved at club functions and meetings. As 4-H club members, youth get to participate in positive social and learning experiences that are fun and educational. Joining a 4-H Club is easy.  Call Kay Bridges, 4-H Agent, at the Iredell County  Extension Office at (704) 873-0507, (email Kay_Bridges M-F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM to let us know you want to join 4-H, and we will give you details about the next club(s) meeting in your area, or how to start a new club of your own. When you attend your first club meeting, you will complete an enrollment form and receive a new member’s packet, and that’s all there is to it – you’re a 4-H member now!

Iredell County 4-H Clubs

We have lots of wonderful clubs that meet at various locations throughout the county. Some of the clubs are speciality clubs and focus mostly one one topic while others are general community clubs and cover a wide variety of topics throughout the year. Most of our clubs meet once a month. 4-H membership is open to all youth ages 5-18 and clubs have both girls and boys in them.
