There will be a Milk Quality and Parlor Training Workshop at Piedmont Research Station’s Dairy Unit (8530 Sherrill’s Ford Road, Salisbury) July 26, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  This workshop is for anybody on the farm that is involved in the production of quality milk. Dr. Roger Thomson, with MQ-IQ Consulting, will bring his mobile teaching parlor to demonstrate how your milking equipment interacts with the cows. You will learn more about what happens to the cow when things go wrong in the parlor and how to troubleshoot when it does. More information about the speaker.

There will also be discussion about results from the Southeast Milk Quality initiative, using and interpreting on-farm culture information, and mastitis therapies.

Lunch will be provided to those attending the workshop.

Please call the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Iredell County office, at 704-873-0507, by Friday, July 20, if you plan to attend so that adequate preparations can be made.
